Many companies elect to have their portable appliances checked yearly as an ongoing maintenance programme, combined with a 100% visual check of the fixed electrical installation and a percentage of the fixed wiring tested. For instance a commercial property would elect to test 20% of the fixed installation annually to meet with the IEE recommended Periodic Inspection and Testing frequency. This programme has the advantage of detecting potential problems at an early stage through our comprehensive yearly visual inspections of the whole installation.
