Electrical Safety Disclaimer

Last updated: June 2024

Scope of Inspection

All safety inspections and compliance assessments carried out by Flexitest Ltd are conducted visually and by means of approved non-destructive testing methods in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition). Our reports reflect the condition of the installation at the time and date of the inspection only.

Limitations

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) or PAT inspection does not guarantee that concealed wiring, connections behind walls, or components not directly accessible will be free from defects. Flexitest Ltd cannot be held liable for faults that were not discoverable by standard non-invasive inspection techniques.

Regulatory Compliance

Our engineers hold current City & Guilds qualifications and operate in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and applicable British Standards. Certificates and reports issued by Flexitest Ltd do not constitute legal advice and should be reviewed by a competent person in the context of your specific obligations.

Remedial Works

Where code C1, C2, or FI observations are raised in an EICR, we strongly recommend that remedial works are carried out promptly by a qualified engineer. Flexitest Ltd accepts no liability for damage, injury, or loss arising from failure to act on observations raised within an issued certificate.
